About Us

Donald L. Harvey graduated from Indiana University with degrees in accounting and finance. He spent 15+ years in commercial banking with a focus on small business lending. Donald entered public accounting in January 1992 with a well- respected local CPA firm. He then opened his private practice in 1995 at the present location.  

Janice M Shelby graduated from Valparaiso University with a degree in accounting. She spent 4+ years as an internal auditor in a local bank. Jan entered public accounting in February 1995 with a well-respected local CPA firm. She joined the practice of Donald L Harvey CPA PC in January 2000.

In order to best serve our clients, our practice includes two Certified Public Accountants (one of which holds a Certified Management Accountant designation) that have worked together since 2000. Both have worked closely with clients and collaborate as client issues arise.

Originally, the practice was built with a focus on the financial and tax issues facing small businesses in our region.
